Hi, I'm Flynn (or therealflynn). Welcome to my profile page. Here's a bit of information about my ties to Vintage Story.
For me, Vintage Story represents a digital way to touch grass. I bought the game in February 2024. I opened my own server, Dreadful Delight, in early August 2025 (thought it is a private whitelist server applications are open to join). I have also purchased the game for three friends.
I eventually learned how to work with JSONs, and subsequently released my first mod, Dreadful Delight: Homesteading, on October 1st, 2025. After several iterations, I added a unique craftable to the Homesteader class. As soon as it released, I released my second mod, Long-burning firewood on October 17 2025 which was a simple stand-alone mod without the recipe exclusivity.
When it comes to the development direction, I couldn't be happier with the direction and decisions being made by the developers of Vintage Story. For me, Vintage Story is a nearly perfect gaming experience. I haven't played with strangers on the internet in this game, but I have found the community to be very helpful, and the modding support from the community is simply stellar. I couldn't be happier to spend my time playing Vintage Story and look forward to its continued development.
I'm so done with that other block game. Vintage Story captured that first night experience and blew it up, and that's exactly what I love about it.
