Vault & Roll

Vault Obstacles, Roll around.

 

Using V (Key by default) you can vault obstacles.

With proper timing you can keep movement flow without losing speed.

 

While falling you can press the vault key to prepare for a roll:

Doing so your seraph will perform a animation, if you land while this animation is playing you will succesfully roll.
roll will reduce 65% of the fall damage.

Hey there, first off, amazing movement mods, the sole act of moving around is fun af rn.
I found a small little interaction with your Dodge Master mod however, where when I'm sprinting, press vault and dodge and also press the back movement key while still running forward, it will launch me quite high up in the air. Probably not the easiest thing to reproduce with these instructions, but I've managed to trigger this semi-consistently.

Holding Backwards while vaulting allows you to phase through the floor.

Vaulting on Slab floors results in phasing through aswell. No matter the walking direction.

Edit: Ok, cant replicate it anymore after a game restart. 

Edit2: After doing some more testing, this doesnt seem to be entirely related to the movement direction. Its related to bonking your head mid vault that pushes the player down into the ground. Sometimes you phase through 1/2 a block, othertimes through a whole block.

Does kinda works in reverse aswell. If you have a pedestal its possible to phase through either half or the whole ceiling.

Edit3: also seems to happen with low FPS.

My uneducated guess would be that its related to fence vaulting. Since you seem to disable the collisionbox of the player while vaulting to allow for "jumping" over fences.

Doesn't seem to be working with your momentum mod currently?

It's working, user error my server admin acciedentaly removed this mod while updating the mod list.

god how i wish the Kemono mod didn't destroy the built-in animation system. it makes everything that adds new animations require a patch for the Kemono animation skeleton otherwise it looks absurd. i cry every time

I will never stop hating that games act like they're realistic but act like people wouldn't at least have to upper-body strength to climb or vault things. These mods are so sick!

Your entire movement suite has been a revelation! It's so much easier fighting enemies, building roofs, etc. This feels like the missing puzzle piece to complete the set, so thanks!!

God dang, this is such a good but weird niche to cover. Are you a fan of the first (I haven't played the second) Mirrors Edge game? It seems like you're trying to turn Vintage Story into a Parkour simulator.

When are we getting the Indy Dev SaltyWater Parkour game?
