After downloading this mod, I wanted to put helmets from Visored Helmets in display cases, so I made a patch to do just that! Sharing here for the convenience of anyone else who wants it. I pretty much just copied what this mod does.
@MrJewsbury Having just done a bunch of messing around in ancient armory's code, the most recent version ships with antlermount compatibility already baked in. Just fyi
DPhKraken Can we get Ancient Armouries compatibility? would be great to put their weapons on the walls.
Since it's a patch, they shouldn't really conflict. They'd set the container flags, and if both of them specify transforms, the last one takes priority.
I'm really happy to see that we've done different things. I've limited my stuff to what can fit in the bookshelf grid because I absolutely don't want to deal with clipping, but you've added larger things which looks super varied.
Should be eerino, I only see 8 overlapping item classes, and my mod has all the item classes in separate files so you can just delete the overlap from mine if it's a problem!
is this compatible with the new Shelf Obsessed?
Big weapons should be fixed with the latest release.
Thank you for taking the time to make this mod. There are so many aspects to it that I love, and it functions so smoothly.
It seems to be everything, ya, even vanilla (I think) things like the Falx or the spear. The Falx in particular is weird though, as its model on the tool shelf and leaning against the wall seems absolutely tiny. It even asks for a 2 block tall wall to lean against when its maybe 3/4 of a block tall.

Everyone needs a three-meter-long greatsword in their life. Are there any other weapons that appear to be too large? I'd be looking at the longsword and the saber.
I can wear my helmets again! Thats great, I'm also stoked I can put my fancy weapons on display. The scale may be a little off, lol. I kinda like it though

1.3.0 has support for Combat Overhaul and most of the important stuff in Armory. If there are still issues, let me know.
Seconding the issue with Combat Overhaul and helmets. You can no longer wear the 3 separate layers, so gambison+chain+plate helm is out of the question, you can only pick one.
Changing the patch order may fix it, but I don't know how to do that.
Thank you for being so quick to address the issue! We only just finally got our hands on an omok board and went to use it which is how we found out about it haha
I changed the onDisplayTransform to better fit in display cases (because the default transform is not good for that), but not having played Omok I didn't know that there would be knock-on effects. I've checked the code for the board and I'll disable it for the time being.
Hello, been loving using the mod but we did run into one issue!
Omok pieces don't seem to line up properly with the omok board while this mod is active. I tested it in single player a few times switching the mod on and off and every time I turned it back on they would offset themselves off the board.
This is a cool mod. I know it's probably outside the scope, but I wish there was a way of adjusting barrels to accept the same amount of items as a crate can.
DPhKraken From what I observed, yeah, it's just the helmets. I don't know if it is just the tooltip lying to me, since I wasn't about to induce head trauma to test, but it definitely displayed only the debuffs for the helmet. When I was looking through your code I was pretty confused as to how it would do that to helmets. I can give some load order trickery a try, but for now I took the mod out since I couldn't really justify the trade-offs.
I am also getting a conflict with Combat Overhaul. I am no longer able to wear a base, middle and outer layer of helmets at the same time, and I was hit by one of my Ewe rams which almost killed me. It's like none of my armour was being accounted for. Or maybe I just got hit in the head. Cool mod tho.
If you uninstall this mod, the things will be stored in the proper place but won't display properly. You'll be able to get them out, but not put them back in.
what happens if I delete this mod from the world? Will things be saved in blocks? Can I get them?
Only headgear? I also added a behaviorsByType entry for leather leggings and lamellar leggings (though these aren't as common), which I suspect would also interfere with the way they might have done things. If possible, you should load this mod last so that the Combat Overhaul patches apply first.
DPhKraken
Something about the way your mod interacts with headgear items strips them of their Combat Overhaul protections/stats. I just spent way too long trying to track it down only to find this mod was the culprit haha.
The unavailable tools are deliberate choices. Axes, spears, shovels, morning stars either have a bladed head that you wouldn't want your hands grabbing, or they're just too big to safely place without clipping. Sometimes it's both answers. I did want to have all swords be storable with the pommel out, even if normally they'd be too long. My margins for the larger swords push the clipping to the back to allow it to be covered up by a trapdoor.
So I know the author doesn't plan to develop mod support but if anyone reading this might be feeling inspired, a patch for Ancient Armory would be super cool :3
Noticed some tools weren't placeable on scroll racks, like shovels and axes. Is that intended?
Love love love this!! One of the first things I tried to do when I first got the game was put nicknacks on my bookshelves, so this makes me very happy!! 😄
Thanks 思考
I don't have any plans to support more mods, but you're welcome to write a patch to add the display attributes to the Combat Overhaul armory and send it to either me or the COA team. The transforms are just numbers that I've copied and pasted a bunch, so I don't have an issue with other modders using my work to add the same functionalities to custom items.
Ooooh, I absolutely love this. I think I need to grab this one for myself as well! Thank you for putting in the effort getting a lot more things transformed and storable! This probably took a long time to get it all looking good. If you might use it yourself, might you consider also adding patches and transforms for the Combat Overhaul Armory weapons as well?
i might have to add to my world. nice mod
Got it, I'll push out a quick update to fix it.
Can `ModInfo.json` be changed to `modinfo.json` to ensure compatibility with case-sensitive systems like Linux?
holy hell yes
First mod and you are already cooking with gas. Looking forward to trying this.
