This is a customizable chat filter for Vintage Story servers.

Originally created for the "Conquest of Blocks" server, but you are free to use it anywhere.

• 🔍 Word detection
  Matches chat messages against a configurable list of patterns.
  Supports wildcards (fuck* → matches fuck, fucking, fucked, etc).
  
  

• ✨ Automatic replacement
  Replaces detected words with safe alternatives.
  Example:

  • fuck → fluffy




• 📜 Logging
  Optionally logs original uncensored messages to a server-side log file for audit purposes.
  
  

• ⚙️ Configurable via JSON

  • Admins can edit WordFilter.json to add/remove filters.

  • Each filter consists of a Word and a Replacement.

  • Example:

• 💬 Server command (/wordfilter)

  • /wordfilter list → shows current filters.

  • / wordfilter rebuild → it rebuild patterns .

  • /wordfilter add <word> <replacement> → add a new filter.

  • /wordfilter remove <word> → remove a filter.
