Wood Stain
Overview
Adds the ability to stain various wooden blocks; create colorful variants from any wood type.
Blocks, slabs, stairs, debarked logs, fences (not rough-hewn), and fence gates are stainable using a brush coated in any dye color.
Note that stained planks cannot currently be sawed back down into planks.
Quick-start Guide

Create a stain brush with sticks and a normal linen sheet.

Create dye and either right-click a bucket of dye with the created brush, or place the created brush in a barrel of dye.

Right-click unstained wood blocks in the world to stain them!

Wash the brush off for new coats of stain by placing them in clean water barrels or right-clicking buckets of water.

Zach2039 : would you make it work with roofs ( to stain the "wall part", not the "shingles" ) and the one-roof mod?

I love this mod; it's so much fun, and the extra colours are just so nice to work and build with. I was wondering if there was a possibility to stain other wooden blocks in the future, such as beams and wooden doors.
I've reloaded since the update. Everything is running smooth, no missing textures I can find. thanks for the work

You could make a seperate version with board and one without them to see if its even worth putting it into a mod
Edit: Maybe you could try doing smth the way as tar coated mod did with boards? i mean it makes brush a lil more useless so i dont think its best way.

Vanilla debarked logs are now stainable with recent v1.3.0 release, with wildcraft debarked logs compat coming later.
Stained boards may or may not be added at some point; I'm not sure if cluttering the block/item list with variants of things like tables would be good for memory consumption.
Is there a chanced to have colored boards and debarked when it comes to crafting colored wooden structures?
Amazing mod for building in a variety of mixed colors, thank you for sharing this. I love the color of the aged wood that's stained brown, though I'm not personally a fan of the "aged" look due to the cracks in the wood. I'd love for a small set of wood stains focused on dark and light natural stains that includes the dark brown color I mentioned before (perhaps using the maple planks?) - or if you could point me in the right direction to learn how to make these types of recolors, it would be greatly appreciated!

Should be fixed with latest release. Let me know if you run into anymore issues.
I really hate it, but this mod is throwing a tun of errors during load and.(like Quiche said, most blocks are missing textures in game). This was a great idea, I hope it gets some love.

Some of the wood stains for me are showing up as question marks, I believe that these are new woods from the Wildcraft Trees.
does this work on 1.19.1?, i'd love to use this mod in my world
