2.0 new update adds copper shields that will in the future, Function as a tool (shovel or Hoe). not just a shield, like my multi-tools.
Player Note: These shield are auto generated by the game using the json code i provided. Because of this you wont find them in My creative tabs (Search Multitool in Handbook to find them). This also means the game treats them as vanilla shields, Also these act as lanterns to give off a very faint light. ((No wall or floor mounts)). yes i do love me some Glowey items ^_^
Sick of having to carry so many tools early or even late game? Created by Knapping/Smithing. Pickaxe/Knife/Axe its simple. Just toss it into the grid once Knapped or smithed to changed the mode. Tool Durability will carry over between modes
