IMPORTANT
While this mod is stable, won't crash your game, and can be removed at any time, it's still got some known issues with spawn rates and rendering of Thunderlord. I've posted the mod here as extra motivation to keep working the kinks out of it.
Q&A
Q: Can I kill Thunderlord?
A: You got your ass handed to you by a bear. Thunderlord is way out of your league.
Q: Can Thunderlord kill me?
A: Handily. But why bother wasting time on a puny seraph?
Q: How often will I see Thunderlord?
A: Rarely, maybe never. Maybe way too often.
Q: Can I switch to creative mode and place my own Thunderlord?
A: Yes.
Q: Why do people refer to Thunderlord as Dave?
A: No idea, but that name sucks moose bollocks and I will forever refer to it as Thunderlord.
Q: How is it that Thunderlord is walking around in the real world?
A: Rumor has it that someone by the name of Solstin left the gate open and Thunderlord escaped.

I never looked into that at all, but I suspect that thunderlord was simply shoehorned into the gear renderer here

Quick question, you wouldn't happen to know how the game renders the Thunderlord during temporal storms, would you? SaltyWater and I are trying to figure out if there's a way to track the vanilla Thunderlord's position in order to play sounds originating from it.
My friend that has never played the game tells me "When is the Giraffe coming to visit you?" Next time I'll tell him "It's Thunderlord you peasant!"

You've covered pretty much everything that I really want to get sorted out when I revisit this mod.
Is it possible to add configuration settings for the frequency of Thunderlord sightings? (Unrelated note; it's probably just because the game usually doesn't expect a player to get so close to it, but it seemed to turn invisible when I'd get up close (even more unrelated; in defence of the name Dave, "Dave Sightings" is kinda hilarious, or I'm sleep deprived, maybe both))

I've only seen it once since i installed this mod. Thought it would be much bigger, but im still terrified by it 😅 Love the mod though!

Though he is not as powerful as the all-mighty, all-powerful cabbage. Yum not Yuck!
Prefer the name Thunderlord tbh, makes more sense. A huge creature like that would have to have some thunderess steps, not to mention you would only see it during Temporal "storms".
Blame Tyron. I'm just using the name he provided. Not a made up name that some wannabe game developer came up with.

Don't worry, he is totally harmless for now. And if you walk away from him, he will despawn. Spawn rates will be improved in the next release.

In the game assets he is only referred to as Thunderlord. But "Dave" is similar so I can understand why some people might be confused about that.

he spawned 1 hour after i installed the mod will he despawn?

if my parents named me Dave I would get emancipated and have my name legally changed to Thunderlord
