Quaker I hadn't planned on maintaining the mod, but hey, might as well fix it up a little. The bears should be a bit faster and less broken now, but let me know if this isn't the case or if other issues are present.

As per the previous versions, it should work on any version with bears, but I only tested on 1.19.x and 1.20.0-pre so I couldn't say for certain.

can you make the bears faster they are to slow,

Was gone for quite a while, my apologies. The values are honestly pretty bad, so I wouldn't recommend this. There's also no reason to include a config file given it's a simple json mod; you could just tweak the values or make your own.

Need more details in the mod page description; from what values were bear speed & reach, and to what values is the mod changing them to. And is there a config file to tweak these to our liking?

Does this work still in 1.19.8?
