Note this is a client side mod!
You only need to have installed on the client. Forcing it on server may cause unintended side effects.
It by it self is not compatible with playerlib as of this moment, plans are in place however..
This is a wholely new Anthro fox model, updated to modern tech, Simple replacement of the Seraphm model.
- Rebuilt Face
- Selection of various fur colorations

- Animations for tail and ears
- "Simple" as there will be no digigrade legs (maybe later)
The old school 'salvaged' port for 6nop6nop's anthro fox player model is available on version 1.1 of the releases.

Blender based tool to generate skin textures based on a RGB mask. If you want to make alternative base coloration. Instructions provided when opening the blend file.

Known Issues:
- Some Hair articles will go missing with some helmets / masks
- Nose will poke through helmets.
- Face expression does not translate on muzzle.

The same as earlier model gameplay wise, but the seraph and seraph-hairless models are now fixed for anyone to edit or to fork from. Removed unused json patch files that were adding logs that were not needed
This will be the last version with vanilla 6nop6nop's fox, and the next version will start to make this more of its own mod and update the look extensively, including texture updates, and shape updates, and maybe, eventually animations. | ||||||

6nop6nop's original anthro fox player model ported over to work over 1.19. This is fairly raw, but works like the mod previously did. | ||||||

I do have plans for updating this mod, especially on a migration towards playerlib on a later date, However I heard someone else been working on converting it. I havent had the time to look into it as I have recently gotten other important things in mind (such as health and upcoming surgery)
WaterF135 The Fox mod is aclient side only mod, It should not be installed on server, as it is just client side mod.
It may be clashing with other mods on the server. The mod after all doesnt modify anything else than the base seraphm model.
The latest pre version should be perfectly compatible with the latest versions of Vintage story. I will make another release just reversioning the pre release to avoid confusion since people assume its not compatible with latest versions.
Do you have any plans on updating this mod? An update on this would be nice.
do you think it would be possible to release a patch, seperate to this mod that adds the vulpine character as a race to the "Player model lib" mod? That would be awesome~
so a friend of mine is haveing an issue with the anthpromorfic fox player modle mod. where even tho he doesnt have it installed anymore on the server we play it has everyones player chars as that modle just glowing bright blue perminitly. no other colors just the color of light blue. Anyone know how to even remotely fix it? it may have been player lib, the fact he put it as a server side mod, and/or the fact its outdated and he didnt use his eyes.

@Wostolfo you dont really need to install it as a server side mod as it is purely client side. Just make sure the latest version is active on the client mod list and it should work

Love the Fox model, I'd love to see what else you may comeout with and or continue to design for this player skin mod!
I had previously had this mod under the 1.20.12 installed on a server, and then the update came, and we restarted everything, with a fresh mod list, but the fox player model was used while the .zip wasn't in the server or client mod list how do I restore the old seraph model?
@Kasel after i finish the base mod to match the armor, hair and headgear. Its quite alot of work especially with my pipelines while right now I'm in a middle of another project that has a deadline by start of september.
Any ETA on when we might see PlayerModelLib support? That's literally all I'm waiting on to get back into this game.
Autumn the mod dev had contacted me over discord a while back and I missed it (just purely busy), Only noticed it after going back to the discord to complain about 1.21 changes to the base mesh not being in patch notes.

It will most likely be a separate mod that will allow for that to be used however, as this is for drop in client side replacement while that will require server side addition of the framework mod it self.

Note, textures are busted in 1.21 as there is completely new UVs for clothes. I will need to reimport UV changes to the model, so there may be some major changes upcomming in the including complete retexture of everything in next few versions of 1.21
There is a fix for the axe animatiosn and rowing animations in 2.20.3. Currently prep to update for 1.21 as there are new hairstyles incoming
BoardingBulb unfortunately the mod is going to be a simple character replacement until there is a framework that would allow me to just add it t o a list of other player models/races
I've had the same issue with animation with axe's where you cant see the tool when its being used. Other than that loving the mod!
Will this mod allow you to pick between an fox and an seraph? i would love to use it on my mp server if it does!
The animations for me are broken with Axes. All other tools/weapons appear fine but just with axes I don't see them in first person at all when swinging, is there a fix for this?
Hey, I noticed with recent VS releases I get this giant warning from Carry On about attachementpoints and the tail when loading, but only with this mod enabled.

The resulting visual bug is that whatever I'm carrying is invisible, but not in 1st-person view.
Otherwise, this mod has been very well behaved and I love that it's getting worked on again.
Hello!! I was wondering if you could give me some advice on how this kinda stuff is made. There's this mod called femininity that just adds a chest option to the player model. The mod hasn't been updated in a year and I was hoping to make my own version or find an alternative that works with the current update.

Thank you for the notice! It does work, sadly it will only be used in my single player due to the amount of dislikes from the server I'm currently an admin in. Love this mod though and hope you keep working on it!
MushieMushi should work still fine with Vanilla 1.20.3, i dont recall seeing any issues with my friends.
Eddie_Gaming I havent tested that as I stick with vanilla, feel free to give it a shot, although some animations may or may not break, as I do override animations. Would be nice to have of mods updating, or patching in the game but there isnt one.
Does this conflict with Combat Overhauled in anyway?
Hey! New to the game since 1.20.3 and disliked the characters that the vinilla game had to offer, saw this mod and was thrilled to see it - but was sad to see it was still 1.20.1 ... I was hopeing to see if you were going to update this mod anytime soon? Would be splendid!

Seems like scythe animation is a little broken (when idle)
PetraTheSquishy could be the way how the mod patch files currently overrides the entirity of the animations instead of replacing each line. I wonder if there is a way to force the load order of mods, because ideally the fox mod should be loaded first before other mods. You could try modifying the Ancient Armory mod file modinfo to depend on the fox mod to "patch" it.
Just as an update to the mod author, though this may be more due to the known issue.
When using a mod like Ancient Armory, some of the weapons won't play animation or work. I'm assuming this is more on the weapon mod's side, but I'm not sure.

MasterNip Shoot, thanks for reporting it, there was a slipup and i forgot to update the transfer file (I wrote some custom tools to compare and transfer animations ) with the version I had fixed the falx animation on and hadnt tested that again recently.
The animation would have crash regardless if third person or not and its was a reoccurrance of a previous bug the mod was having.
I have released 2.20.1 which fixes that issue

I really wish there was a mod that added playable races, like a shorter goblinoid and/or kobold, etc. I think Starbound is a great comparison, though I'd suspect each playable-race-plugin would rely on certain unique items, like clothes unless otherwise specified.
I've updated the mod to be 1.20 compatible with fixed animations for the missing animations.. Enjoy!

there are quite alot more animations (13 more animations) and alot more renaming of animations (117 total changes) which may take a while to add support for and keep working between 1.19 and 1.20. I will wait for translating /transferring majority of them once the update is closer to release. for now, im just making sure its stable, however i need to refine my pipeline to stabilize it as my tooling has broken and cannot do transfers from old to new, so i have to do it by hand manually on the json.

I will be updating the 1.20-rc version as soon as I have the time to fix it for those who are daring to go to a release candidate so quick, was planning to save a bit more time (there is ALOt to fix) so i can add more than just a bug fix. However since some are impatient to wait for the actual release of 1.20, I have released the 1.20-rc fix which should atleast allow one to use the mod with the latest version; even if it may be way more jank than usual

I agree, we need a digitigrade one; but optional!
If the older textures could work with the digitigrade legs that would make things loads better too; I've made a couple custom textures and i'd like to have them keep working!
Also, remaking the helmets in some fun new style to work with the head would be cool too! like a more... pigface bascinet style helmet for the blackguard and forlorn hope helmets for example, to help accomodate the nose would be a sweet addition.

Been debating on fixing that old fox model however I am still new to modding so I am starting small before I work on a new player model myself. thank you for updating the fox model!
What triggers me about this mod, is that its Client Side; I wish there was a way like Starbound to input races and make them playable, and other players can see them. Because I like Humans vs Seraphs.
I have a friend who likes Kobolds.
Now there is this whole thing with Foxes, this is too cool!
