Material Aging
A simple mod to add crafting recipes for the various aged materials/blocks in the base game.
New Item:
- Aged Stone Bricks - used for crafting the aged stone brick blocks, stackable like vanilla bricks.
Barrel Recipes:
- Aged Stone Brick - stone brick + 0.1L vinegar
- Aged Polished Rock - polished rock + 0.4L vinegar
- Aged Log - any log + 1L vinegar
- Aged Plank - any plank + 0.1L vinegar
- Aged Hay Block - hay block + 0.1L vinegar
- Aged Torch Holder - brass torch holder + 1L brine
- Metal Scraps - nails & strips (iron) x4 + 4L brine
Grid Recipes:
- Aged Stone Brick Block x2 - aged stone brick x8 + clay / mortar x1
- Aged Polished Cobbled Rock - aged polished rock + hammer + chisel
- Aged Thatch Roof Blocks - per inverted vanilla recipes
- Cracked Stone - Stone + Hammer (V1.2.0+)
- Cracked Ashlar Stone Block - Ashlar Stone Block + Hammer (V1.2.0+)
- Dryable Thatch - Thatch (V1.2.0+)
Drying:
- Aged Thatch - Dryable Thatch + 72 hours (V1.2.0+)
v1.0.0 - Initial release per above.
v1.1.0 - Vinegar should now appear in the handbook and be acquirable in vanilla by letting cider or brandy rot. Thanks to Tels and l33tmaan for their help, check out their mods.
v1.2.0 - Changes;
- Aging/Drying Thatch
- Cracked Stone and Cracked Ashlar Blocks crafting recipe added.
- Aged Polished Rock and Aged Polished Cobbled Rock variants were added to vanilla game for the following rock types; white marble, green marble, red marble, andesite, chalk, conglomerate, shale, basalt, phyllite and bauxite - crafting recipes added per standard.
Future:
- "More Torch Holders" compatability - allow use of variant torch holders for aging.
- Patch remove aged hay from the grid recipes for regular thatch roofing. - Open to suggestions on how to do this, cannot figure it out as the roofing grid recipe contains every roof in vanilla.

Seems like this mod somehow reverts or messes with the shelf life of wine and brandy. It should be 1.3 years for wine but it's listing 14 days instead

Is there no recipe for adding Very Aged wood? That was the main material I needed to obtain.
Im also looking for an 1.20 update :D
My savior. Been driving me crazy that I couldn't acquire these materials in survival.
Back to play the game for 1.20 release so will likely be an update, having tested it a little so far it seems functional with some language updates required, stone bricks have been renamed to ashlar blocks so I'll need to atleast update the language file.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll see if I can figure out the two bits I have in the future plans before a new patch too, though no promises.
Appears to be working 1.19.7, recipes still there; and can on creative set the barrel to seal expecting aged log (from vinegaer plus pine log).
I second everyone's request, this is sorta a must-have, hope it gets an update. Or if anyone can a confirmation if it is working now?

You might want to add the dependencies of this mod on that page. Vinegar is not obtainable in vanilla.
Rufkut - I'm probably going to keep it to aged/worn blocks for this, if you want the other clay colours I can recommend https://news.kalataka.ru/moreclay by Catasteroid, it'll add red and brown clay to the clay generation.
