This mod introduces the Black Sea Devil Angler Fish, a (mostly) neutral mob that spawns in oceans at a depth of y-70 and below. Currently the angler has 20 health and does 10 piercing damage with a damage tier of 3.

I also removed a usless func from the angler, the func was {"lightAbsorbtion": 0} this was just a left over from my attempts to make the angler emit light :P

bintoss Sorry about that, I threw that patch together real quick just to allow for compatability with Biomes, with the version Ive been working on, this will be fixed (obv) as well as spawn rates spawn height, animation update for the Blacksea Devil as well as a texture update and add two more deep bois. Thankyou for the feedback though, it is always appreciated <3
edit: Oh and i fixed the patch so its not directly in the attributes anymore but instead in its own file.

The leading zeroes in the version violate Semantic Versioning and are causing versionchecker to be unable to check the mod for new versions. The game's semver parser warns about the issue and guesses the intended version.

Thank you! It’s an excellent and atmospheric mod, it brings more life to the ocean depths. I’m looking forward to future updates, since the seas at the moment aren’t very interesting and feel rather empty.

Hydromancerx XD yeah when I was testing it having a separate patch seemed to not do anything, so I just put it directly into the attributes. A bit odd it didnt do anything since Draconis works that way but whatever it works.

Two points:

First, this works perfectly fine for me in 1.21.5 (at least loading in and having them spawn naturally)
Second, this is incredible and I cannot wait for you to add more creatures. My mods create insanely deep oceans so paddling at night and seeing these guys is absolutely incredible.

Looking forward to this mod. I have installed Something In The Water mod for the glowing jellyfish. Like to see more life in the oceans & I think some glowing creatures will make sailing at night more interusting.
