VERY EARLY DEV RELEASE for a project aimed at significantly changing the way players interacti with and process raw stone and ore-block assets. Goal is to turn mining into an actual process, and not simply a "break rock>collect resources>get to crafting/building" experience.

This phase of the mod has the process in place that converts vanilla rock into a new rubble block asset when broken. Rubble blocks are gravity sensitive, and are processed by removing layers with a pick, shovel, or by hand.

In creative mode you will find a new "RockOre" resource. This block does not currently spawn in the game. It is intended to eventually replace vanilla ore blocks, and is very possible it will have it's own deposit spawning behavior that will replace the vanilla ore deposit mechanics.

Currently however, the mod simply changes how rock breaks. I am releasing this early version for testing to make sure that the basic conversion and processing mchanics are working before I move on to othe features.

Bug hunting and feedback would be appreciated!

Known issues: Ore bombs don't convert rock blocks to rubble when broken via an explosion. The explosion breaks some blocks whole, or obliterates them altogether. I've tried patching over that, but the code that controls this is hard to hook into and modify.

As a dev release, I strongly suggest you do not use this on any world you care about!!
At the very least, make a backup if you don't want to risk losing it.

I strongly recommend Salty's https://news.kalataka.ru/immersivemining as a companion to this one!!

- Numerous changes. Both rock and all ore blocks should convert to rubble variants that are removed one layer at a time. Appropriate drops added by parent type. No balancing attempted at this point. Simply focused on functionality.

- Added rock asset patch that was missing. Behavior should work properly now.

Teagan No plans to worry about it at this point. This mod might be compatible. Not sure. Compatibility would likely have to be done on Stone Quarry's end, to intercept my code that converts the vanilla block to a rubble variant when the quarrying tools are used. That'd have to be done on that mod's side of the code though, and tailored to intercept the rock/ore to rubble conversion before it fires ONLY when stone quarry tools are used to break off larger blocks.

And that, as I said, might still work. I'm not going to try testing other mods until this one is further along, but feel free to see what compatibility looks like with other mods, and let me know!

Like Teagan down below, i'm looking forward to this one. But from the description, it sounds unfinished. So i'll wait for more releases.

I like the direction this mod is going :) Love your mods (except the monster one hahaha). What are your plans for interaction with Stone Quarry? Love the suggestion to pair it with Salty's immersive mining :D
