Rytram 1.21.5
seaseraphic what version are you on?
Straight up doesn't appear to be working. Even when running without any other mods.
rayllis689 Hm that's odd... Just hopped in and looked at it, makes sense with the way I did this mod. Def not intentional. Might be I switch over to a code mod to fix this issue. Should be fairly easy, but having only dabbled lightly in coding, will be my first real challenge of sorts. Thanks for letting me know, and I appreciate the edits with additional findings <3
Nice mod, noticed one thing though. Flowers that have snow on them when picked up act as a separate item. When looking at the tooltip of a normal flower the material is listed as plant, the snow covered flowers have a Material: Snow in their tooltips. Very quick and minor testing shows the 'snow' version still works for crafting with the Alchemy mod at least. Edit: Snow covered versions do not work with Dana's Flower Farming mod. Edit 2: Would be interested to find out if the snow covered versions will lose their snow after being placed down again. Edit on edit of an edit: Snow covered flowers only partially work with alchemy, could make a healing oil base but not a basic potion base.
Adding ferns is splendid work. Makes them both useful for something and not an absolute pain to remove if they're not wanted. Flowers are also marked as such in their item description, so if there's anything else I find that doesn't follow the same functionality, I'll post here at some point.
@DrPeter I 100% agree and it's one of the main reasons I made this, anything else in particular you feel fills up your inventory quickly? I wouldn't be opposed to more mods of this flavor, but nothing comes to mind rn
@VincentMorgan Lupines and ferns, will add compatibility asap 👍🏻 I'll try and check for any other stragglers as well
A great way to handle flowers and to live your meadow-frolicking fantasies.
Seems like lupines don't really count towards what can be picked up or cut into dry grass, likely something to do with internal name conventions. Adding the same functionality to ferns would really sell the mod for me, because ferns are otherwise really annoying to handle.
Ever since I started playing VS, and also many Minecraft modpacks, that was the most glaring issue for me. It's too easy to fill ur inventory with useless stuff, and flowers are part of the problem. Thanks for making that mod.
DatVegan you're free to go pick all the flowers you'd like now!
