This mod adds a new creature to Vintage Story!

New creature, the wyverns!

Wyvern are aggressive in nature and currently come in the ridgeback type with 10 variations. These creatures can ultimately be turned into flying mounts.

How to obtain and raise wyverns?

You can set traps to capture hatchlings found in the wild with a large crates using meat. Careful, they will run away if you get too close. You could also get lucky and chase them into a fenced in area. Once you fence them in, feed them meats or veggies that they like enough until they grow into semi-tamed wyverns. Failure to take care of them enough will cause them to grow up into aggressive wild wyverns. After that, you will have to go through the process of saddle breaking them. 

Mod roadmap:

- Probably adding other wyvern types, currently the craghide, wavecrest, and bone.
- Possibly griffons, dragons, etc. We will see if there is enough time!

Wyverns that go into medium cages from the Animal Cages will have their saddlebreaks entirely reset, really set us back on that blue wyvern I was talking about earlier lol

Kyrios34 you just throw it at them as if you were dropping an item and it'll go and eat it when its not running away from you - they dont always do it tho so maybe they have to get hungry - but they'll never eat as long as they're detecting you

how do you feed it once its in a pen ? , ive tossed the meat at it and backed away , tried hand feeding , placeing in on the ground , doesnt seem to eat it

Burgersim, SparrowOfRealms is correct - all ages of these darling wyverns are automatically compatible with Animacages. Just for complete clarity - the babies go in the small AND medium cages, but all ages AFTER that go in only the medium cages.

Burgersim They're already catchable via animal cages, most baby animals are automatically compatible with animal cages and adults with the medium cages, I caught a blue baby wyvern this morning with one, n thx for the fix we love the look of the wyverns

If I wanted to make Wyvern YOunglings catchable via Animal Cages, what would be the id for only young wyverns? And are they more small (racoons, hares, cats, turkeys) or medium (dogs, juvenile animals) sized?

Edit: If I'm correct a simple name change for your entity from wildwyvernbaby ti wildwyvern-baby would automatically make it compatible with Animal Cages.

This is a very cool mod, I actually really enjoy their asthetics/animations/sounds and how they act as a genuine special mount with lantern slots, storage slots, and everything

Was worth raising one 👍 10/10 mod cant wait to see more


Only real nitpick is you should eventually add sounds when they walk since they're silent when they do so lol

an interesting mod, feels a lot like the mod Draconis that has a similar premise.  Are there multiple styles of Wyvern currently available?  Where can you usually find them?  Would love to see close ups of the various styles available!
