Latest release (for Vintage Story 1.21.0 and 1.21.1, potentially outdated):
ASR0.0.5.zip
1-click install
Ave, VS enjoyer.
This mod contains:
- 5 distinct armors,
- 5 helmets, four of which have variants with plumes,
- a belt,
- 2 types of grieves,
- 6 different colors of a tunic.
Their stats are similar to the same type of bronze/iron wearables in game.
It's not perfect, but I hope you'll enjoy it.
It is Combat Overhaul compatible.
Should still work for 1.20.12.
Salve.

Kastoruz Weren't you saying that it was showing when worn ingame? If it's showing in game, you can ignore the error msg.
Dangodangodango Hope you can get it fixed eventually (for 1.21.0). We are building a roman village and everyone around here wants a tunic now 😅
Kastoruz I appreciate you trying to help. I am aware what a stepParentName is, hence I was asking you if the other models were working fine. This made it even more confusing for me what could be the issue. The only thing I could POSSIBLY pin point it to is that the first parent of the model doesn't have a step parent, but if the hamata also works fine, then that couldn't be it either... try the hamata if you haven't yet, I'll have an ask around to see if some one else knows something.
Update: found the cause of the issue. As long as the items work fine you can continue using it without problem and ignore the warnings for now. I'll fix it when I get around to it, as it's not a super pressing issue from what I hear you say and what I see.
I tested with the other tunics and I get the same error but armor and the like seem to work just fine.
The error only shows up when you equip it. You can have it in your inventory no problems, but everytime a player equips it it sends an error on the server.
I have no idea what I am doing but I am submitting code from another mod so you can compare if you want. The mod works anyhow just a slight error on my server.
Thanks again Dangodangodango 😃
Kastoruz Could you check another item that isn't a tunic as well?
Specifically the cingulum (the belt) and maybe something like one of the armours/helmets?
Hopefully you can help me helping you.
Hello, I love this mod but I get this error on my server. I can still see the tunic fine. I am on 1.21.0, using combat overhaul.
[Server Warning] Step parented shape as:entity/humanoid/seraph/clothing/tunic/tunic defined in Item as:clothes-tunic-red did not define a step parent element for parent shape game:entity/humanoid/seraph-faceless. Will not be visible.
/// Perhaps it's a matter of replacing the incorrect reference (
game:entity/humanoid/seraph-faceless) with the correct parent? I donno, thank You!Only changes in 0.0.5 are that the textures have been slightly updated.
If the changes are experienced positively, then I'll work on updating also the other pack's textures a little.
Would love to hear some feedback on it too.
io! Chitons and peplos are Greek, not Roman. Stolla are what the women wore and togas for men. Veils and hair decorations could be interesting too. Julius and/or Augustus needs laurels.
SeregFinnel It can be seen in the first image and 2 last ones, the red and white cloth textures give it away. They are very simple tunic clothing for now.
@Dangodangodango Chitons were the standard tunics seen in Greko-Roman culture. From your reply it sounds like you may already have them in but I didn't see them in the images so I figured I'd ask.
SeregFinnel I am not familiar with chitons? I do intend to come back to it and add some more clothing and maybe fix the tunics slightly better in place. I first intend to get a basis of the regions done.
Any plans for chitons or togas?
@Dangodangodango Thanks for a great mod!
Awesome! I look forward to your Greek stuff!
Hydromancerx I won't be adapting any other armor mods, however I will be making more packs of different areas such as celtic, greece and possible middle eastern to a certain degree.
Could you adopt Ancient Armor mod? It never really worked and has seemed to be abandoned. Either by recreating their historical armors or fixing their stuff. I just really wish their stuff worked. Also great job with the stuff you have made so far!
GermanicKnight After a bit of a crunch, here ya have it after all. The mod should also work with 1.21.
GermanicKnight No it's not currently. I might also look into that soon, but no promises.
Thanks for a Great mod! Do you know if this is compatiable with the Combat overhaul Armory mod?
