Adds 2 water wheels that will turn based on their alignment with a river.

Speed and torque can be configured in the hydraulics.json config file.

Hi, thanks for both of the mods!

I wanted to ask - why did you choose to use iron exclusively for the recipe?

From a gameplay perspective, I really like the idea of using water wheels as an early mechanical option before gaining access to windmills, since those require a significant amount of flax and, unless you’re building them fully uncovered - additional materials as well.

IRL-wise, iron is highly prone to rust and corrosion, so making the wheel out of it - and especially making it the only material for the wheel - feels a bit odd.

I personally patched the recipe file with

Whenever I disconnect the power system from a helve hammer (in my case, probably any other mechanical power consumer) the entire axle assembly starting from the water wheel stops spinning. I need to break the first axle that connects into the waterwheel and reconnect it. If you could check into that, or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I placed it in the river, it is attached to axles,. the wheel is not spining, neither is the axles.  

I dont see what could be wrong.?  Any ideas?

 

I just figured it out.  The axle was in the water, and that causes it to not work.  Axle has to be above water..   ALL HAPPY!  :)

Mod requires Rivers mod.

Okay,someone was paying attention to my lamentations.

Does this mod have any prerequisites? If so,what are they? If it's the Rivers mod,will RiverGen work? Can I just use water flowing from a bucket?
