A set of jonas tools I want in the game made from jonas components.

Currently Implemented Tools:

 

Jonas Lighter:

A tool for igniting things that does not extinguish from water and is faster than a torch.

Can ignite igniteables(torches, furnace, bloomery, firepit etc.) instantly upon pressing and releasing the use button.
Planned Features: 
- Cool flame particles

 

Flashlight:

A tool for lighting your way, because of the way I coded the light if you have your dynamic lights set to super low it may not work, but it should work in other cases.

Jonas Drill:

An advanced tool for mining, currently unobtainable but being worked on

Planned Tools/Ideas:

 

Jonas Glider/Booster:

A tool to increase the distance that you can fly with the glider or to fly long distances in a shorter amount of time.

Suggested Tools/Ideas I like (may be partially modified by me):

 

Stun Grenade:

A throwable bomb variant that stuns enemies for a given amount of time depending on their stats 

 

Diving Gear:

Gear related to diving, goggles, air source, some way of propelling yourself underwater

 

Portable Heater:

A portable heating device that would take up a backpack slot to keep yourself warm

 

Configurable Animal Call:

A device that can record and re-play animal calls, luring the applicable animal towards your location

Amen to that! You know you've really made it when you have a Jonas lighter. 😅

 

For anyone wondering, the mod seems to actually work in 1.21.1, at least superficially. I haven't had any errors/issues yet, anyway...

Any chance you'd be able to get the lighter functioning with 1.21? I sorely miss this mod! Working towards that lighter was a big goal on our MP server. 😁

I have to second Artronia on the multitool, jonas travel stove and flask; those sound like awesome ideas to me!

Would love to see a few more tools that are just Upgrades. Like a complex Oven that stays a constant temp or a chest that has more slots then usual. Another good tool would be the classic Multitool. Or if you want some more homely stuff: cupronickel flask (Holds 10L like a bucket but looks better), jonas travel stove (Placable campfire, perfect for long trecks), Better shield (provides dim light like a candle whilst having the durability of Tin bronze), and maybe an upgraded "Sleeping bag" which has like a frame and uses cloth so it rolls up and fits on an elk. Just my musings, all in all a great mod and would love to see more!

you forgot to implement the flashlight being put in the off hand, also both the flashlight and lighter can't be put on tool racks (the drill can but its placed very weirdly) and all of them are misplaced when placed against a block, and none of the tools (except the lighter which takes two durability instead of one when lighting something) seem to lose durability (might be caused by toolsmith if they do without any other mods)

OH! i found a mod to keep hard tabs on for later. but i may just install already because i got a mod to make fire lighting a pain in the rear.

Absolutely love it, a week later. I started a new playthrough and seriously considered spawning in the lighter, it's THAT good.

I am indeed enjoying that lighter! It makes later game pit kilns and similar much less of a hassle. Bloomeries are easier to get going in larger numbers, as well!

@Redbarony6 Record and replay Animals, I love it. Another idea would be to use tunning cylindars so one could have a collection, maybe trader support buying /selling. I do not know anything about modding other than "I do not know anything about modding" lol, and thank you for Making mods for the community!

CKitt I still need to implement animations for the item, and I think I can with OverhaulLib but then this mod will require OverhaulLib and I'm not sure if I want this mod to be able to be standalone or not yet. Either way, I'll figure it out  c:

I dig the idea of that lighter, don't mind if I do... the matches from Kingdom of Science used to appeal to me in the same way, but that set of mods haven't worked in a while.

@Redbarony6 Well, an actual useful head lamp, saw for felling trees, a type of cattle prod that makes animals run from you when poked, a gernade that neturalizes a Bell a little while so you have a chance to kill it before it calls in tons of baddies, goggles that let you see in water no matter how deep it is, a warming device that can be worn to keep you warm in the bitter cold, grow lights that give more grow speed to a green house, and an animal call that calls specific animals depending on what componets are used (all these suggestions are on tiers of componets and items used). Just ideas bud, thank you for effort in making this wonderful game "play it your way" I love you modders!
