Latest release (for Vintage Story 1.14.0, 1.14.7 and 1.14.8, outdated):
Burn for Longer.zip
1-click install
This is only an increased burn time for firepit fuel items, the exact same burn times used in my Reduced Grind mod.
Theoretically compatible but completely redundent to use this with Reduced Grind.
Logs: 312 or 392 depending on type (trying to mimic how vanilla settings are slightly different).
Coal-types: 800 (Charcoal, Lignite, Bitumous, etc).
Peat: 392
Other small burnables: Only slightly increased depending on type (Grass, sticks, etc).

Equivalent to the times in Reduced Grind v1.1.1, with, that's right, the coal times. | |||||||
does this work w/ 1.20.3?
What'd be neat, would be a fireplace version of the firepit. Which isn't used for cooking anything, instead just puts a huge timer mulitplier onto fuel to burn longer (say 1 firewood = 24 ingame hours).
*doesn't cook, thus not changing fuel consumption of cooking/smelting/baking etc.
**Instead, is a dedicated fireplace for warmth; and so with reduced fuel consumption.
There is an issue with heating crucible with charcoal, it reaches 1300c in firepit and the metal temp but never transitions to the liquid metal crucible state. Just sits there at max temp
still works in 1.16rc4
Just open up the .zip file and go to assets/game/patches/survival-itemtypes-resource-firewood.json. That file contains how many seconds firewood burns for, just change "Value": 384, to something else. It's so easy you don't even need a config file.
Is there a way to config this? I'd rather just double the vanilla burn times.
