You need a temporal Amulet equipped and then run into a rift, the rift will vanish and you will fight 10 - 20 Drifters of different kind.
Inital Release, it might be unbalanced for MP since you can farm Rifts when they occur.

Maybe make it so that if you stay in a rift for a set amount of time it trigger the same effect as of a temporal storm (or a shorter temporal storm) that ift vanish after killing all the enemies.

I can take a look what happens with Temporal Tempest.
About the "hitting" a portal, this was my inital idea. The problem is you can't hit portals (since they are nothing hittable besides some effects) and i don't want to completly redo the portals so you can hit them. Maybe i can fake a hitbox or something, but this update wont come soon.
I love the idea of this mod but wish I had more control over what rifts I decide to attack other than just getting close to them. Maybe having to hit with a knife or something? I also noticed when I used this with Temporal Tempest and got an unreasonable number of mobs spawning for some reason.
Compatible, maybe, but they do not work together nicely. I have to take a look at its Code to see how they implemented the rifts. I could add a compatibility with something like: When there is a Temperal Storm, you can't hunt the Rifts.
Is this compatible with Temporal Tempest?
Good suggestions! I'll play around with vanishing time, or something like you have to stay x seconds in there so it pops.
I'll make a custom item someday, but i wasn't in the mood yet, the temporal gear amulet is just a placeholder.
Also disabling rifts for sometime is basically the next goal. Not sure how to do it yet but i'll come up with something.
Love the concepts, though could you make it so the rift vanish isnt immediate and you need to spend time within it to disable it?
I often travel with a temporal gear amulet incase I need to set my spawn somewhere else and I imagine popping those instantly would be extremely disrupting! Plus I think it would be nice thematically to have some sort of timer to disable rifts.
