Recommended download (for Vintage Story 1.21.0-pre.1 - 1.21.5):
DebarkMod_1.1.3.zip
1-click install
Allow debarking logs in world using an axe.
Who said you need to get to copper to have a hammer to have a beautiful house, with debarked logs ?
Also fix the fact that you already put the logs and then you want to debark all of them.
Compatible with:
- Wildcraft: Trees and Shrubs
- Florasphere (plant and worldgen)
- Immersive Wood Chopping (when config needHammerInOffhand=true)
- Jack's Adze (using a hoe instead of an axe to debark log, no hammer needed)
Options:
- needHammerInOffhand:
default=true(new in 1.1.0) - canDebarkTree:
default=false(new in 1.1.2)
Do not hesitate to report an issue or if there is an incompatibility with another mod you like!

Initial release of DebarkMod:
| |||||||
Devilofether A bit late, but it is compatible now, using a hoe instead of an axe when the mod Jack's Adze is enabled.
Blacklands A bit late too, but it worked in 1.21, and now I explicitly set the compatibility to 1.21.X
Blacklands Seems to work fine for me, I've been able to debark logs just fine.
will this be compatible with Jack's Adze later? (basically just swap out the axe for the hoe when this mod is installed)
Has anyone had the chance to test if this mod happens to already work in v1.21, or whether it needs an update first?
Hello Sharidan,
After testing on the latest version of 1.20.12, I can confirm that it now (v1.1.1) works and that there is a compatibility with Immersive Wood Chopping when requiring a hammer in offhand.
Thank you so much, Divinnity :)
Hello, Sharidan yes, I will have a look at that compatibility in the next days / weeks :)
Eerino, there is no reason it should not, but I will double check also in a few days just to be sure.
still work for 1.20.12? :)
I am running a modpack with several immersiveness mods in the pack, including this one. Unfortunately I had to disable Debark due to a conflict with NemaxuswarZet's Immersive Wood Chopping mod (see: https://news.kalataka.ru/immersivewoodchopping ).
The conflict is an interaction conflict, in that both mods use the exact same interaction setup to accomplish their task: right mouse button while holding an axe. If I recall correctly, the vanilla way of debarking a log, includes the use of a hammer in the crafting grid, alongside the axe.
Would it be possible to perhaps expand this Debark mod, to have a requirement of having a hammer in the off-hand when in-world debarking? For backwards compatibility of functionality, I would suggest perhaps making it a configuration option that can be enabled, by default disabled. Enabling the hammer requirement, would then allow both of these mods to run side by side, without conflicting, while in it's default disabled state would still function as it does today.
Thank you both for the comment!
This is awesome! I literally was just telling a friend gee I wish I could debark easier and I see this mod that came out just a few days ago. Really great work!
