This WILL slow your progression through the metal ages, you have been warned.
Makes it so many of the common progression metals will be much harder to find, but yield substantially more ore if you can find it.
Example, iron is now 100x times less common for spawns, but will spawn in nodes of roughly 2000-4000 block nodes. Surface copper is also less common, but will almost always spawn surface nuggets to indicate a deposit underneath.
Is it balanced? That means different things to different people, but I mostly made it for a private server. However all the .jsons are easily modified, so I encourage anyone to tune it to your liking and let me know!
Roadmap & Future Additions
- There were a lot of tweaks that didn’t make the final cut into the mod, certain metals being child deposits inside of others, reworking how iron spawns in the world. I ran out of time but am still working on these patches.

Pain is only temporary. Resolve is born from the journey, not the reward. 10/10 mod
Quartzz
The ore will generate much the same way as vanilla, iron will have some extra thickness though.
Apoaxis
That was the idea lol, we wanted to encorage players to set up proper mines and such
Giffel
right now it only works for vanilla, have plans to make patches for that later on
are the veins generated super long/tall or is it woe huge ball o ore upon ye?
love the concept, i want to not find ore for 2 months then have to dedicate an entire season to scaring the very face of the earth.
Does this only work on vanilla ores, or does it also have an effect on ores introduced via mods like those from Geology Additions?
