This mod retextures base game translocators with a fresh new look to line up with other jonas tech better, while also adding new linkable player crafted ones.

Over all the mod is quite end game focused, looking to make teleportation a serious but still powerful new form of travel without taking away from base game wild translocator networks or making other forms of travel overly obsolete. As with my other mods an in-game handbook entry is added to help better explain the changes and mechanics.

Aside from cosmetic changes, all new mechanics only apply to translocators crafted by players from this mod!

To assemble your own translocator (And remember you need two to actually have it do anything!) you require:

  • 1 Flux Gap Connector
  • 1 Dual Valence Emitter
  • 1 Temporal Alignment Node
  • 1 Consumately Crafted Gearbox
  • 1 Finely Balanced Oscillator
  • 3 Temporal Gears
  • 9 Metal Parts
  • 4 Cupronickel Nails & Strips
  • 3 Cupronickel Rods
  • 5 Electrum Plates
  • 4 Electrum Rods
  • 4 Lead Plates
  • 4 Lead Ingots
  • 2 Steel Rods

 

Note that all the recipies require the vanilla game "Custom Translocator Schematic" as well, although it is not consumed at any stage.

 

A linking tool is also needed. On default settings translocators will use 1 charge of fuel whenever a player goes through it, you can refuel when it reaches zero. Refulleing takes a temporal gear and by default gives 3 charges, players with the "technical trait" (Clockmakers) get a bonus charge for a total of 4.


The mod has a handy config where you can change some values, do note that the visible fuel meter on the model does NOT scale to altered values:

The translocators added by  the mod also come with some small misc QoL features such as particle effects indicating what is being teleported, and where it will appear on the other end. Alongside large entities being moved forward more as to not cause transit loops.

 

Admin Mode is something that can be toggled on via right clicking with a wrench in creative mode on the translocator. When active all distance based linking restrictions are ignored, and fuel usage is disabled. This is meant to be a handy feature for things such as multiplayer spawns and the like.

A suggestion, if possible; could you add a config that changes the fuel consumption to be based on distance teleported instead of a flat number? So, for example, 1 gear might replenish 16,000 blocks worth of teleportation distance, so a translocator set to teleport 8,000 blocks away would consume all the fuel in only 2 trips, but a translocator set to only 4,000 distance would do so after 4 trips.

this is the BEST translocator mod.
one thats not only expensive but also cost gears to use is what ive been looking for!!!

all of the others are so broken and cheap! 
this one fits in the gameso well!!

Friend, i was thinking that with all the teleportation mods out there, they were missing something, they seemed incomplete outside of the game's lore and very op... Then I found your mod, and it was everything I wanted. It has the same ideas I had in mind. Fantastic mod bro.

Love the design for the translocators, dunno how useful it's going to be in an up coming playthrough but we'll see.
