like a 1x1x1 bag apart from the tent bag but can only carry 1 chest.. i use carry on. i just need a tent bag that effects a 1x1x1 area for me to store chisel tools in. the current area is a bit overkill for what i need.. but that being  said. the current tent bag area of effect is great for a small home or to move stuff. 

Guess he means not a whole tent just a Chests worth of Stuff

I am not sure what you mean about picking up the aged golden/owl treasure chests.  Have you explored carry on?  I think that mod might be what you are looking for (can put a chest on your back)

I made one with colors.  Couldn't figure out how not to break the current tents, so make sure to unpack any tents so you can switch to the new ones before deleting this mod.

suggestion for a new item. something like "Temporal Treasure chest" for picking up (1 at a time, all other items/blocks banned) one of the many aged/owl Treasure chests with 4 slots. say for moving a chisel kit. the Craft could require  1 of the Treasure chests  and  the temporal gear to craft

edit: i seem to  have a  need  for one of these. this addition would be great for your mod, and the whole tent is big even tho i do  use them. i would go out and make  this myself  but i know next  to  nothing about modding  or configs

Would it be possible to make colored versions of the item to tell whats inside at a glance?
