Brightens up a little bit of everything in the scene (client-side only), on the surface and in caves.
Raises the base brightness by 10% of everything, preventing things from appearing pitch black.
The percentage can be configured via the ModConfig or ingame with the .light set [value] command. 10% is the default, but 0% is vanilla, while 100% is full brightness.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS MOD!! i have poor darkvision, and i can't see Anything at night without a torch in vanilla, even with the gamma cranked up to max. i wish more games accomodated for people who just don't see well in the dark.
AlexTrified I can confirm that /weather set clearsky works in making caves easy to navigate and not black voids of death.
Having a weird issue, maybe unrelated to the mod but the mod definitely helped me notice, either I pressed something or its how the game is, but underground the lighting just continues to go darker and darker even with light set at 100 with this mod.
I dont think it was like this when i first tested it.
Any thoughts?
(Edit) unfortunately even though i attempted this multiple times before commenting here, i just tried clearsky again and it worked, so false alarm, though i feel like this being here would be good info in case someone is attempting to test around underground and cant find out why its so dark down there even with light at max.
works perfectly fine as of 1.20.12 and probably will work forever
LiothTheBrave it hasn't stopped working - and in the future it shouldn't stop working unless the developers edit two specific lines in the shader file or change very specific function names. I updated the version numbers to reflect this for now. Don't feel afraid to try a mod anyway even if it says outdated!

KometFox this issue should be fixed in 1.3.5. Let me know if you have any other issues.
I'm on Xubuntu 22.04 and I'm getting a OpenGL error when running this mod.

SalK Yes! Night Light is a client side only mod, so every player has a different percentage value.
Is it possible to have differnt value for different players when playing multiplayer?

Been using the mod for a while now without it being responsible for anything outright exploding, I think, but this still probably shouldn't be there right?
Edit: Checked the Night Light mod zip and it looks like the problem was just that there were two sets of files. One named NightLight the other named Night Light. I deleted the former since the later matched the name in the mod info and everything seems to be resolved.
It's completely unrelated. That mod has crashing issues on its own.
QuakingDoom this issue seems to be unrelated to this mod. Nevertheless, I uploaded a version of this mod which should be more friendly to various shader mods, as it only changes the lighting shader include file.
Unfortunately, this causes the game to crash when used alongside the new updated volumetric lighting mod.

ThreeHeadedDingo it's just a visual change, as it is purely client side.
Does this literally change the minimum light value of blocks, or is it just a visual change?
This will be a must have in my mod folder! :D
