A very simple mod that adds some new types of mead, as well as an aged, cleared and distilled version of each.

In version 2.0 cooking recipes has changed, from now on you have 2 different options:

1 – Boil honey and water in a 1:3 ratio until only 3 liters of the base remain in the pot. This will result in boiled mead, which ferments faster but doesn't age well.

2 – Mix some honeycomb with water in a barrel and go for a walk until 8 hours have passed. Now it became a set mead base, which tastes incredible, age well, but ferments slower.

 

Next processes are same as they were, combine any mead base you have with mashed fruits and wait till done. Can enjoy pure taste of fruit meads. Boiled mead can be cleared with powdered charcoal to extend lifetime. Set mead can be aged if stored properly, in a suitable place it can basically stay fresh forever. All meads can be distilled into strong alcohol.

Hey nokraw! To follow up on SiiMeR point, I've managed to make the crash happen with your mod. All I did was:

  • add more mead to mods
  • add Wildcraft Fruits and Berries to mods (and Herbarium as dependancy)
  • start game in crative
  • add any type of fruit mash from More Meads options that patched Fruits and Berries (for example Goosbery mash)
  • use command /time speed 25000 to make 1 day 10 seconds
  • watch the mash spoil
  • when it hits 100% spoiled server crashes

 

Tested few of Wildcraft fruit mashes works everytime. Vanilla works properly

SiiMeR I can't fix a bug if i cant repeat it, on mine mod list everything is working, if you want, i can make special version for your server so mash won't spoil at all so the error will not happen again

SiiMeR Actually, strange one, i tested it and everything is working properly on my side at latest game version, rot is appearing in inventory and containers, what other mods do you have? I can check if there is compatibility problem

An error occurs on the server when a 100% spoiled mash in a container attempts to turn into rot. If it's in someones inventory, they will need to have their inventory cleared out by the admins. It will keep on throwing the error until the server crashes.

I will add skyrim meads later but to craft it you will need wildcraft and maybe expanded foods installed

I think the reason he suggested juniper berry mead is because it is a thing in Skyrim. Also though I love the mod, been needing this in the base game for awhile.

Some berries have a strong flavor that can ruin your drink. In one book i saw a proportion, more acidity in fruit -> less juice to add in brew.

Juniper berries too strong to just add their juice, i brewed juniper berries mead irl and you shoud use dried or fresh whole berries and only 3-5 per litre.

So my plan is to add a different double fermented mead, so in future updates you will be able to create this.

One step closer. Now all we need is Wildcraft support, and mead with juniper berries will finally be obtainable...
