Rikaiu Grass! is a straight retexture of the existing vanilla grass so it wont conflict with wildgrass or any other mod👍

is this compatible with other mods tha change grass like wildgrass or art of growing?

Just so you know, this makes my fps go from 80 to 105 in a mix of woods and plains. idk how, but i love it.

I prefere A myself. I think the soil is too hard to see in B version, though I'm a bit inexperienced in the game :).

that's all good soil is still idenitifiable in B version and I like that I've got the A version there for those that prefer it, better the option be there than not I reckon, choice is always good.

m00n I do like the B variant better for pure aesthetic. Though, the default download and 1 click install for the mod are both for the newer B variant. People will most likely just click the button to download it without going to Files to try the A variant, which is probably skewing the downloads in favor of B.

Now that I'm using this, I wanted to point out something really cool.

The game having two layers of grass (the tall and the painted on) is something you just get used too.

But this mod makes that difference in the grass types hard to see.

I had not realized how aesthetically unpleasant the two grass levels were till this mod made it go away.

Such a big improvement with such a small change.

Your screenshots looking straight down don't show this off very well.

But it's a big change when looking forward.

I'm so big into the aesthetics of the game I don't care if I ever find better quality soil at all. But I know I'm an oddity in that.

@mendall thats ok i'll make up a version with more coverage in the side of the block for people i had tried to make the blocks edges in my art provide more grass edge then the vanilla texture and to have a more even transition from grass to sparce to bare dirt while maintaining easy identifation of soil quality like vanilla has but if you dont mind the loss of that ill make a B version with more grass on the sides and have it available soon

I really love this texture you chose, but I just can't give up the better grass mod that gets rid of the dirt at the bottom half of the block. Do you know if this will work with it? I don't think it will, as that one said it is a texture PAC as well.

Ok I just looked at your mod and with your permission can I edit your PNG files to preplace the side texture in your mod with another copy of the top. So it matches the better grass layout. I will not post it. pleeeese.

Really like how this looks, always felt vanilla grass was very flat looking, especially compared to how textured many other vanilla blocks are.
