Latest release (for Vintage Story 1.21.0, potentially outdated):
lessclasspenalties1.0.1.zip
1-click install
This mod removes some of the penalties from the classes to make picking one in single player a bit less painful.
Hunters: Removed claustrophobic
Malefactors: Removed frail
Clockmaker: Removed frail
Blackguard: Removed ravenous and heavy handed
Tailor: Removed weak and kind
Compatibility: The method used is to patch replace only the traits of classes 2-6, so it won't work right with mods that also replace those classes. Mods that replace the whole classes file will probably have the traits of classes 2-6 replaced.

Didn't actually change anything, I just got rid of the "Dependencies" line that I added unnecessarily waaaay back when I first made this mod thinking classes might actually change with versions. It was causing an error message claiming the mod required that old version when it doesn't. It still works even two an a half years and a bunch of major versions later. Just watch them totally overhaul the classes and break this mod with the next version... | ||||||

I added a new release. It's technically identical to the first release, I just deleted the unnecessary dependencies section that caused the phony error message to say the mod requires game version 1.17.
Looks like this is still working in 1.21.
Mod still works in 1.19.8. Probably won't break in future versions unless they suddenly change classes.
I'm not entirely sure how it saves classes, as the only saves I had before this mod were commoners. It does change the classes in existing saves, but if it's saving traits then it may require you to re-select the class to update it.
In short, yes - but you may have to use .charsel.
Will this work with existing worlds/saves?
