Bring o lot of new explosives!

  • Reed Shrapnel Bomb 

Cheap explosives that are not capable of destroying an area.
Still dangerous to living beings.
Great for creating chain reactions when interacting with other bombs.

Chain reaction demostration.

  • Ceramic Bomb

The ceramic shell and small volume create a cautious explosion, easily forming tunnels even in the hardest rock.

  • Stone Breaker Bomb

A miner's workhorse. Increased gunpowder volume for greater damage to rock.

  • Shrapnel Bomb

Not capable of destroying blocks.
Deal damage to all creatures in large area.
Reliable way to destroy many enemies in a short time. (Make sure you can run fast or use chain reactions)

  • Ore Crushing Barrel

Huge area damage
Shockwave can crash ores beyond explosion range.
Good for big ore veins.

  • Stone Crushing Barrel

Huge area damage
Good for destroing rocks.

🔥Also you can make a Lighter - long term firestarter from flint and metal.

Ceramic Bombs are not worth their cost / effectiveness:
- This costs a flowerpot to make but blasts too small of an area to be worth the time to set up / special material cost compared to digging out or blasting the same area with other bombs.

My suggestion to fix:

  • Taking inspiration from the Scarab Bombs from Terraria, the ceramic bomb could instead be two flowerpots sealed together with clay (blasting power inside), and a fuse sticking out of the seam.
  • When detonated, it carves a roughly 4x4 area in a wide / oblong shape, forming a tunnel section. Currently it's just a "small bomb", this change would give it the intended utility

 

Alternatively,

  • The bomb itself (the current one) would be rotated on its side and blast a 4x4 hole forward, rather than a centered blast. This would aid in its intent of being a tunnel blasting bomb.

Been absolutely loving this mod, thanks for keeping it updated! Its been huge for a project near our base where we've been blasting literal mountains.

  • Any chance the ore crushing barrel could have its damage to stone reduced?
    • Currently it's just a stone crushing barrel with like 2.5 blocks less of a radius and costing dry grass instead of stone.
    • Leaves too much of a crater, making it pointless to use over ore blasting bombs.

NinjaKid225 yap, reed bomb is good for clearing annoing grass without toching any other blocks. Stone break bomb and stone crushing barrel is good to remove....mountains😅 Ceramic can easy dig tunnels if use properly.

Hi! Stumbled upon this on the logs when debugging issues with other mods:

> Entity shape for entity bomb:spark-flintandsteel not found or errored, was supposed to be at flintandsteelmod:shapes/entity/air/spark.json. Entity will be invisible!

Seems like the "shapeByType" property in "entities/spark.json" still refers to the "flintandsteelmod" and not this mod. The domain prefix "flintandsteelmod:" just needs to be changed to point to this mods' assets instead ("bomb:").

This mod has officially transitioned from “content” to “code” status💪Using OmegaHaxors' previous work, I added sparks to the lighter, appropriate sound effects, temporary lighting for the area and update it. It's a small thing, but I'm learning.

Adapted to version 1.20. Release candidates will most likely not break the mod in the future. In 1.20, 2 new vanilla explosives were added: for stone (but destroys ores) and shrapnel against mobs. These vanilla bombs were in the mod, but there are also other types of explosives in it that can also be useful, so I don't see any point in closing the mod

WickedSchnitzel of course Even if you yourself put explosives in the privatization zone and set it on fire, it will go out. And if someone places a bomb next to a private person so that it must hit something that is planted - it will also go off, despite the fact that it is outside the zone. It is impossible to damage the private territory with explosives.
(Although you can turn everything around it into a lunar landscape, but I didn't tell you that))
