I made this mod for my server; The Echoes Of The Old Order. We are a constantly growing 18+, LGBTQ+ community with server events, a stable serverwide economy, light/no rp, no wipes, stable mods, a team of knowledgeable admins, over 20+ settlements, enough resources to go around, and measures put in place for story locations so that everyone can experience them. This mod is used there in order to help new players gain access to the server currency, by converting the drops they get from monsters, into cash.


Changes from the original:

  • Shivers have been added
  • Shivers drop their jaws/teeth
  • Bowtorns have been added
  • Bowtorns drop a rib
  • Gearfoot bowtorns drop their gearfoot
  • Locust nests drop bulbs and legs
  • Sawblade locusts drop their tails
  • Bells drop their clappers, heads, and tails.
  • Drifter claw models have been completely reworked and overhauled.
  • Item descriptions tie into base game lore.
  • Drifter claw names have been changed to be more obvious as to what drifter they came from.
  • Readded jonas parts to the double headed drifter lootable because froggy accidentally overwrote it lol

 

Faq:

  • I'll add sinew drops from the bowtorns for future bows.
  • Vanilla drop rates for loot have not been changed
  • This mod has no outside dependencies, meaning you can run it on your singleplayer world, or multiplayer server just fine.

 

 

Drifter drop rates
- Surface drifter has a 90% chance to drop 1 claw
- Deep drifter has a 80% chance to drop 1 claw
- Tainted drifter has a 70% chance to drop 1 claw
- Corrupt drifter has a 60% chance to drop 1 claw
- Nightmare drifter has a 50% chance to drop 1 claw
- Double-headed drifter has a 40% chance to drop 1 claw

 

Shiver drop rates

- Surface shiver has a 90% chance to drop 1 jaw
- Deep shiver has a 80% chance to drop 1 jaw
- Tainted shiver has a 70% chance to drop 1 jaw
- Corrupt shiver has a 60% chance to drop 1 jaw
- Nightmare shiver has a 50% chance to drop 1 jaw
- Deepsplit shiver has a 40% chance to drop 1 jaw
- Stilt shiver has a 40% chance to drop 1 gear from its head
- Bellhead shiver has a 40% chance to drop 1 bell

 

Bowtorn drop rates

- Surface bowtorn has a 90% chance to drop 1 rib
- Deep bowtorn has a 80% chance to drop 1 rib
- Tainted bowtorn has a 70% chance to drop 1 rib
- Corrupt bowtorn has a 60% chance to drop 1 rib
- Nightmare bowtorn has a 50% chance to drop 1 rib
- Gearfoot bowtorn has a 40% chance to drop 1 rib
- Gearfoot bowtorn has a 20% chance to drop one gearfoot gear

 

Locust drop rates
- Locust nests have a 60% chance to drop a bronze leg
- Locust nests have a 20% chance to drop a corrupt leg
- Locust nests have a 10% hance to drop a locust bulb
- Sawblade locust has a 40% chance to drop its tail

 

Bell drop rates
- Bell has a 40% chance to drop their tail
- Bell has a 10% chance to drop their clapper
- Bell has a 9% chance to drop their head

Please give me ideas as for what to do with everything here! Maybe weapons, items, crafting recipes, etc. that utilize the creature drops. The current plan is to use this for a future necromancer class (going to be called rotwalker).

Please ask before forking the mod, I don't usually mind so long as you ask me beforehand, and the changes you plan to make are large enough to warrant a fork. If the changes are too small to warrant one, simply make a patch mod or help me develop the mod further! You can reach me on discord, it's the same username as here.

 

The original inspiration for this mod came from here. 

I have gotten written permission to do whatever I wanted with it, as he said that he will not be updating it any further.

I would like a paladin or deathknight class but I guess we do have blackguard for that but I know my brother would love the necromancer class I like the holy warrior in most rpgs because thats just my playstyle being a mid healer and a versatile warrior I wish I knew how to create mods but I am not skilled at or have any talent for it if I was to give the paladin a negative trait it would be the base game trait kind and a custom negative trait that makes them weak when attacking a trader or a player that has commited a crime Example murdering a merchant or in place of that they are weaker in darkness and take double damage in complete darkness.

IICubeII The current plan is to use the ribs as ingredients for a bow, add sinew drops for the bowstring, and be able to craft bone arrows from the ribs. 

In regards to the necromancer class, this mod will be a dependancy for it, I'm not going to make this mod the class mod. I have an entire class mod that's being made, that will be uploaded on its own

Could just act like bones for some, letting the player display them on antler mounts. Fleshy items could slowly turn into rot. Bowtorn ribs could be used to fashion a low-high tier bows. Whatever you do, keep it simple. Maybe make the necro class another mod all together so people can pick if they want that addition. Also, there's always drifters to kill, meaning whatever you do - will be a fairly abundant thing for people to have. There's a few resorces that are harder to get mid-early game that these dudes could fill in the blanks for... like with rot! Keep the mod fairly light and simple and I'm sure tons of folks will use it. Cool idea!

Claw weapons could be cool, maybe a sickle and scythe could be made from claws or jaws? personally, I'd love being able to make a bow from bowtorn ribs, Bonus points if we can craft ammo from them too in order to send those annoying things' spears back at them!

 

I absolutely endorse finding some way to make the bell into a hat or helmet so that players can become nightmare fuel... and think it'd be funny if it could be turned into a functional town bell with a chance to summon drifters

If you're doing a necromancer class, you could make the bell a component to conjuring undead under your command, be that in a ritual to obtain a minion, or as an item used to tell your thralls to attack and follow.

 

And armor... maybe it could be something like improvised wood armor where you can make some basic armor with ropes, ribs, and claws, or go as advanced as some rusty brigandine with shiver jaws as pauldrons with a helmet that's like claws wrapping around your face and head... I'm no artist, idk how complicated that'd be, I'm just saying if I can go around like some kind of rust knight, I'd never take the armor off and nothing would be safe around me...
