this mod allows players to collect and put on display leaves, lake ice, grass, and mushrooms. Ice and leaves can be collected with a saw, grass with shears, and mushrooms can be collected normally but must be combined with either dirt for the floor-bound ones or nails for the hanging ones to put them on display. All items that would normally be affected by decay or growth will not be in their decorative versions.
Sorry for taking so long to update this thing - college started back up and I just haven't had any free time.
Decorative crops are coming in the next update - I'm having some trouble getting them working like I want to.

i hope there will be a update to this as it stands you get leaves from everthing not just with saws and other tools but bare hands which i dont hate hate but its very annoying to have to throw away a billion leaves once you're done cutting or chopping a tree
Will this be getting a update? it seem i can break leaves with just my hand now unsure why i do have a saw with me. but i hope this gets updates so i can make elf stuff :)

I'll definetly put it on the list! That being said, the next update for this mod will probably be ways out. I'm by no means abandoning it, but I'm busy with college right now, and I have a few other ideas for mods I want to make with what little modding time I have.
Yesssssssssssssss, collectible grass. Best mod. If possible compatibility with https://news.kalataka.ru/wildgrass would make it even better. Mod includes seeds, but whole plants would be a lot easier. I will try to do it myself, but my modding skills are close to none 😅

I haven't done any extensive testing so far but I had it up and running in 2.0.1 and appeared to be working fine. I will try to message you the mod zip on Discord.

Hey, sorry for not responding to your comment sooner, I've been quite sick. I'd be happy to upload your variation of my mod for you, but I'm also fine with you just uploading it yourself if you include in the description somewhere that it's a variation of / inspired by / takes content from my mod. That being said, is your version working fine? I've been having some issues with my mod since the latest update that I've been trying to resolve with little luck.
Hello there, I've created a very simple variation of your mod that removes the ice collecting mechanics, making it just for leaves. Could I send it to you to upload yourself so that people can auto-download it off the Mod DB for server uses? I don't want to upload it myself or take any credit for it. It's all done, you can just inspect it and upload.
Could you do a version of this which allows disabling the ice collecting part?

I think those are great ideas! That being said, I'm still pretty new to modding, so no promises on how long it will actually take me to implement something like that.
Really nice mod :) Can you add abilitty to collect grass for decoration also? Would be a perfect mod for me :)
I'd love to have decorative crops, so we can plant rolling fields of wheat as a builder. They don't even need to drop anything, because they're just decorative. As soon as they added the dying crops mechanic, a lot of builds, and maps, turns from nice rolling countryside, to desolate wasteland overnight. My thought is a 1:1 grid craft from standard crop, to decorative crop. Decorative crops do not drop any produce when harvested, but they do not die. They grow to full bloom as they normally would. The game has punished builders by adding the dying crops mechanic, we should have some simple, elegant way to get that ability back.

Fixed! Sorry about that, I didn't quite zip up the files properly so there was an extra file in the way that was causing the problem. I just made a new release and it worked for me when I downloaded it, so hopefully it should work for you as well.
