So I answered my own question, it has not been added to vanilla.
The commands may be the same, but vanilla will only ever do 1 stack at a time.
Granted this works a little funky, but I have a soft conflict with carry-on, as they use the same keys and I think it makes them interact strangely.
I don't particularly want to remap either, so I'll deal with it.
Has this functionality been added to vanilla?
I disabled the mod recently and I still have the same options.

Just installed it on my 1.20.1 server and it works. 👍
Has anyone tried this on 1.20.1? It certainly appeals, but I'm left wondering why a new mod was uploaded for 1.19.8.
Amazing, thank you for this mod! Been dying for a solution to this issue.
Would it be possible to make a crate display the contained item over your crosshairs as you hover your mouse over the crate? Would make using them far more intuitive and enjoyable.
This is the best QOL mod.
