A collection of patches for various cooking mods

 

Note: Will be updated for 1.21 when Expanded Foods has a stable release.

A bunch of personal tweaks for cooking mods I decided to roll out into a full mod release.

This mod does NOTHING on its own without any of the mods listed below!

*Also, may I suggest one of our finest blood-based pastries?

 

Butchering

  • (Expanded Foods) Disabled blood sausage and blood pudding recipes
  • Clean offal can now be used as an optional protein ingredient in meaty stew or soup
  • Primemeat and offal are now ground storable

Expanded Foods

  • (Hydrate or Diedrate) Salty well water can be boiled down into dry salt crystals, or barrel aged into wet salt crystals
  • (Butchering) Clean offal is now a requirement for raw sausages, with the exception of fish, crab, and snake sausages
  • (Butchering) 0.6L of blood can now be used as a lard substitute for raw sausages

Salt and Sands

  • Cured bivalve meat now properly displays in creative and the handbook
  • (Expanded Foods) Bivalve meat is now a valid ingredient for sushi and fish sausages
  • (Expanded Foods) Bivalve meat can now be used to make fermented fish slop

Food Shelves

  • Expanded Foods raw meat nuggets are now storable in meat freezers
  • Salt and Sands raw bivalve meat is now storable in meat freezers

  • Prime meat has a strange offset when ground stored
  • Bivalve meat shows an odd texture when stored in a meat freezer

Yeah, sorry, CyrusJazzberry.  I'm a moron.  I JUST saw that late last night when I was trying to do the math for salmon and then the stupid recipe cycled to the fish filet option and I felt like an idiot.  Please forgive this old doofus. <3

Thank you so much, I'm glad people are enjoying my silly little cooking conistency mods!
As for fish slop, I thought it already accepted fish nuggets and fish fillets (if you have Primitive Survival installed).

CyrusJazzberry, this looks like the mod I've been wishing for!


Would you consider overwriting the fish slop recipe to require fish filets instead of whole fish?  With all the various fish types floating around (lol), collecting so many before they start spoiling to make the slop is really frustrating.  If the recipe accepted filets, it would just allow people to make the slop out of whatever fish they'd amassed.  Either way, looking forward to an update on this mod!

That shouldn't be the issue, both me and my friend are running the latest versions of both Salt and Sands and Food Shelves. The only thing I can think of would be a potential mod incompatiblity somewhere.

Still doesn't work for me, but thank you for trying. Maybe it's because I'm using the new version of salt and sands for the 1.20 update? Not sure if that would change anything

I did some changes to file location and the meat freezer patch itself. I also had a friend test it on a fresh install and it looks like it's all good to go. Let me know if anything doesn't work right

That's incredibly odd. I'll take a look at the patches again just to make sure I'm not missing anything or see if anyone else is having the same problem.

It's definitely raw but won't store. It doesn't register as a bug or give an error message of any sort so there's nothing in the server log, it just doesn't let me put it in.

Make sure the meat isn't cured, it has to be raw. If it still won't store, I might need to see your server log

It's for Butchering recipes, the (Expanded Foods) marker denotes it's only active if you have EF installed.

is that the recipe in Butchering or one in Expanded foods?

Just trying to understand what this change does.

After a quick test, both meaty stew and soup recipes work fine on my end. Are you trying to use offal as a main protein in stew?

heads up for anyone who uses the sausages mod with this mod,it breaks using blood as a lard substitute
