For people that doesn't like clogged inventory with useless stuff. Just look at the item on the ground and right click to pick it up.

This mod is designed to be used with the "only collect items when sneaking" enabled. (It's a vanilla config in the mouse tab)
By default it also overrides the 'sneak to collect' behavior from this mode, you can revert that in the configs.

Configs.
- AllowPickupWithFullHand: Enable picking up items with a non-empty hand.
- RemoveSneakRequirement : Removes picking up items when sneaking. Perfect if you´re also using Instant PickUp
These options can be modified in the configuration files to customize the mod to your needs.

ooh an update! It's not in the changelog, but does that also fix the NullPointerException when trying to break a chiseled block?

The mod works fine on 1.21.5. Make sure to check the configs. config file is named ClickToPickServer.json
The value "RemoveSneakRequirement" set to true will disable vanilla passive autocollect for both "Always" and "Only when Sneaking". It's the core idea of this mod.
Unfortunately yeah, like Ayselyn and CherryRook this mod doesn't work in 1.21.5 in respect to both the "Always" and "Only when Sneaking" collecting items options.
No other mods installed. A shame, I was looking forward to this for a Wilderness Survival save!
I had the same problem as Ayselyn and CherryRook and I think I fixed it by editing the ClickToPickServer.json file to be all false instead of the the ClickToPickConfig.json file.
The mod is incompatible with bolts from the Crossbow mod. They work with other items from this modification, just not with fired bolts.
Basically just adds the pick up system from rlcraft, awesome
I'm unfortunately getting an occasional forced disconnect with the mod upon breaking a microblock:
I tried older versions and can confirm the bug isn't present in version 2.0.1, it was presumably introduced with the 2.1.0 rewrite.
I really love this mod, but I would like to suggest an optional configm something in between "RequireEmptyHand" being true and false: allow to pick with an empty hand or a hand containing the same item we are trying to pick. Don't know if it's doable, but it would be a nice QoL feature while retaining a bit of the logic of the empty hand restriction.

Both working on my end, on 1.21.5, probably mod incompatibility
I have the same issue as Ayselyn in 1.21.5 and additionally sneak to pick up seems to no longer work at all even though i have it enabled both in game and the mod config
Can't pick things up with full hands even if it's enabled in the config (1.21.5)
Cant place any block if there is item on floor because it counts as entity :(
So one of the servers I joined has this enabled, is there a way to toggle it off personally for myself?
I would love to be able to have a whitelist of items that this mod applied to, while all other items behave as usual. Would that ever be in the roadmap?
This mod seems to make it impossible to retrieve arrows.
Nabbs Sorry, english is not my first language so maybe i expressed myself poorly, what i meant is that the vanilla function of picking up items from the ground it's not working while the mod is activated, the tweak works perfectly, i am able to pick up items by clicking them, but if i walk over them my character doesn't pick up anything (I have my mouse settings set to pick up everything off the floor without sneaking).
I know this mod is meant to be used with the "only collect items when sneaking" option enabled, but i need someone to confirm if this is a requirment to use the mod or if it's just a recommendation
I'm using the config option to pick up multiple of the same item and I've noticed the item clumping does not happen in water but otherwise works great. I've also noticed that I can pickup bowtorn arrows and it gives me granite stones? (I'm playing with quite a few mods so it could be something on my end.) As a sidenote, any chance of compatibility with Combat Overhaul and it's projectiles or a workaround to pick them up?

Hi! I love this mod, but i'm having a problem, my character does not pick up automatically the drops from the ground once i activate the mod, and the option on the mouse configurations it's selected to pick everything without having to bend down
Is there a possibility of adding a patch for combat overhaul / bullseye? when using both you cant pick up spears or arrows, which is a shame because i like both mods :(
this mod is fine but my one complaint is when digging straight down in one block shafts it would prevents from doing so after clogging up

nono, you don't need to unpack the zip.
Hit windows key, write and press enter: %appdata%
All mod configs are inside VintageStoryData/ModConfig
I may be dumb but I cant seem to find the config file even when I unpack the mod
Click To Pick version 2.0.0 and Combat Overhaul version 0.3.9 aren't compatible. After throwing the spear or shooting an arrow/bolt, you can't pick em up anymore. (using the BetterEntityInteraction and the Instant Pick Up mods too, in case)

can someone tell me if im stupid please as i can't pick up arrows with this mod and combat overhaul and i also have the config lib mod and no options for this pick up mod show there to change any options, any help appreciated
Would be nice to have a key to bypass it, to bypass things like things being inside a nother things hitbox (For me it happens most trying to gather cattails). and pickup up the combatoverhall projectiles. Also would help pickng up crops.
I can confirm that I am also having the issue of not being able to pick up the spears. I also have combat overhaul, so they appear to not be compatible currently.
SaltyWater Just tested it, can confirm that with all CO mods disabled, I am able to pick up my spear! Unfortunately it definitely seems to be a compatibility issue
Screwby Could be! The mod does tweak collision.
SaltyWater I went into C:/Users/Me/AppData/Roaming/VintagestoryData/Cache and cleared everything inside of the "unpack" folder, but I had no success. My spear is still uncollectable. Everything else can be picked up with right-click except the spear. Is it an incompatibility with Combat Overhaul, maybe?

SaltyWater Hey, I 100% can not pick up my spear with right-click since the update. I threw it while messing with a shield and it is stuck in the ground, uninteractable. I have tried breaking surrounding blocks, I have tried the multitude of key combinations - no luck.
Riddle78 delete the config file and enter the world again to generate a new one.
The "RemoveSneakRequirement" line didn't appear in my config file when I updated... any way for me to fix this? I sorta need that functionality to pick up modded ammo and chuckables.
Don't suppose we could still be able to opt into being able to break blocks with dropped items on them?
I noticed an issue with the new system that's somewhat annoying, with cattails for example if you hold the mouse button to gather them sequentially, you end up attacking after each one breaks because of the item hitbox. Normally and on older versions of this mod it doesn't happen.

Thunder22 I've made them pickable with right click in the update.
Noticed I'm not able to break blocks anymore when a dropped item is in the way with this mod and i'm pretty sure it wasn't doing that before the v2.0.0 update. Works fine when I disable the mod
Yep, no more spears & arrows pickup sadly. Probably you should add blacklist of items for mod, so chosen items will still be automatically picked, untill you figure out how to fix this, is it possible?

I'm unable to crush chunks of native silver in galena. It does the animation (and if I use rocks they're consumed) but I don't get any silver nuggets and the chunk is not consumed.

No idea why, but even when only this mod is enabled, it stops fresh worlds from generating. Specifically it gets stuck on "Return again." It seems to work if I generate the world with it disabled, and then re-enter with it enabled after its finished.

There's a similar mod in Other Block Game that I always use and have been waiting for someone to make the same mod for Vintage Story.

Ouk I think I can make it configurable so when clicking a dropped item the mod picks up all nearby items of the same type, would this do the trick?

Would be possible to make it so, that the seraph will automatickly collect items from the ground without sneaking if the item is already in the inventory until full stack and in the same time if the item dont use new slot? Lets say bit semi-automatic.
Example: I have already in inventory 10 granite stone and I'll automatickly collect (without sneaking or ClickToPick) granit stone until full stack of 64 pieces. After then I have to "ClickToPick" another granite stone or snek to pick everything on the ground.
Just an idea. I like the idea of the mod, but in the same time im bit to lazy to sneak or use my hands all the time :)
