Building Frame
What is it?
A block with several placement modes to help you layout structures more easily
Also Lets you swap frames with blocks without breaking.
Controls (while looking at a placed Building Frame)
If you’re holding another Building Frame:
→ Shift + Right-click → Places frames on the opposite side of the face you clicked, stacking away from you
→ Ctrl + Right-click → Places frames adjacent to the frame you clicked, at the closest edge side
If you’re holding a solid, full block:
→ Shift + Right-click → Swap the lowest frame in that vertical stack: replaces the bottom frame with your held block (frame is returned).
→ Ctrl + Right-click → Swap in place: replaces the clicked frame with your held block. (frame is returned).
Notes
Fast break time
Configurable stack limit (default 12)
FAQ:
Q: Is this Scaffolding?
A: Sort of but no, It's not specifically for climbing but you might find it convenient for that, its more for building/placing
think of it as a reach extender if you like
Q: What is this good for?
A: I find it most useful for bridges and arches, it works well for a top-down building style
it saves me from making dirt scaffolding and pillars while building tall things
also good for group building - designer can layout and builders can fill in
Q: I dont like <thing>!
A: Comment why and I might change it!

Would you be open to creating a lower tier version for those who haven't reached the iron age or doesn't have access to the helve hammer yet? I'd love to be able to make basic wood frames for buildings without needing a bunch of igont ingots for rods (though 64 per rod is generous).
That actually a really smart idea, especially for very large build using costly block.
