I will, naturally, remove this updated version upon request from the original author.
Updated to 1.20.1, supporting the new Sturdy variants of the backpack and mining bag.
With increased storage sizes for all your stuff.
Recipe for Temporal storage now REQUIRES the steel pack, so no skipping progression!
All art and assets credit goes to the original author, I just got all the JSON stuff working.

Fixed all backpacks not actually doing what they're supposed to do, add inventory. Also fixed the visual aspect of showing the backpack on the character. JSON was completely changed for this. | ||||||

Updated for 1.21, fixing json log errors.
tofiktofik destroy the old instance of that item and create a new one. It happened to me because I had the old item crafted before installing this mod. For example: Sturdy Mining Bag says in description that have 24 but only shows 14 vanilla. I grab a new one(Cheating with creative because i dont have the mats to craft again) and the slots updated. Sorry for late response, because i started Vintage Story in less than 20 days, and just start playing modded few days ago and i see this mod today.

I don't have any other modifications to the backpack
a backpack that has 20 slots still has 14
I had a similar version before and it may cause a conflict, but it is disconnectedtofiktofik I just tested and everything is working fine, I verified the backpacks and all are working. Do you have other mods that also edit the backpacks?
I updated the description of the mod to outline all the capacities just so there's no confusion.
If wildcraft adds the basket, then wildcraft controls it. I can't fix a bug in that mod from this mod.
tofiktofik I'll investigate. I went through all the files looking for little things like that, must have missed something.
Looks like it's not working with Birch Reed baskets from Wildcraft. Add to a backpack slot but no storage opens up.

the 20 capacity backpack still has 14 capacity and it doesn't work, the capacity has only changed in the descriptionUpdated, should be working great. Even tested it this time!
I didn't catch the fact it was broken because there was no errors in the log files so I thought it was all good.
They added a new behavior that is required, fixing now.
I'll investigate.
how do I get this to work? I put one of the items into my backpack slot but when I open my inventory, I don't have any slots.
if you're wondering, this doesn't give me any error messages, or at least none that I've seen.
I updated this because I simply can't play without it anymore. I collect all the things!
