Use Config lib to configure the mod
Changes axe and pickaxe animations
You can make pickaxe and/or axe to require empty offhand to swing in config (turned off by default)
You can make pickaxe to take damage on hit instead of block breaking, adjust durability and chance to take damage in config (turned off by default)
Pickaxe has optimal range of 2.5 blocks, after that mining speed will reduce (configurable)

Yes, but it takes time
Are there plans to add animations for the pickaxe/axe to "bob" whilst walking like the other tools? Currently it's just frozen solid when you walk, feels a bit off.

For some reason, the mode just locks the pickaxe and axe for me. I don't have any other mods installed that affect those tools and even tried simply disabling it with the in-game GUI. I had to disable it at the start screen for the tools to work.
The latest update to Overhaul lib has effected the animations when you switch tools in the middle of the animation,

Maltiez Having the same issue as Lhosson, axes are currently bugged. You can finish cutting a tree, but anytime you equip an axe for slightly too long you can no longer swing it until you switch back off and on from it.
Unfortunately, in v1.21 (stable) the animation for Flint axe (only bug I have come across so far) is locking up intermittently. I had to change tool and back to the axe for it to continue cutting.

For some reason cutting trees takes way longer than vanilla, is there anything else I can do other than turning off the axe animations? I've got xskills, might it has to do anything with it?
Still love the mod but I have one "issue" with it, I don't like the way our character handle the axe and pickaxe all the time, can you make it like in Vanilla ? When you run arround with the tool in your right hand only and it move with our hand ? Because it doesn't feel natural now with this mod (not to be mean because I LOVE what this mod do), but yes, can you make like a mix between the handling animations from Vanilla and then when you use the tool it use your animation ? Would be PERFECT specially if the transition is well made ! <3
Would it be possible to support the two xskill mod speed increase skills (one for shovel, one for the pickaxe)? They're dynamic, so can't be matched by the static speed bonus configuration:
ex:
Breaking a block with a pickaxe increases your mining speed with pickaxes by 1% and additional 0.1% for each level at the mining skill. Maxed out at 2%. This effect stacks up to 10 times and last 4 seconds.

This mod does not touch anything outside axe and pickaxe, so it cant conflict with chisel tools
Compatibility with QP's Chisel Tools would be nice to have if possible. Otherwise, the mods conflict with each other and break the chisel animation and sometimes more (despite QP's mod not touching animation to my knowledge) Otherwise, excellent mod. I cannot play without it
could i suggest a animation for 'hoe'? , once or twice, the hoe could move in a cicle loop, or could be per block animation then going back to rest position, it could generate particles to hide the transition from one block to another ... or you could do this one lmao

do you plan to work on showel? in vanilla i get freaked out every time my char flings showel to her shoulder and she does it so often (T_T) i wish she would just hold it low or point toolhead to ground.
something calm would be great, with no tool flinging towards my head like i'm about to hit myself

now it's not showing up in the configs, but it's working by modifiying the yaml
well, I've dissabled the axe animation, save and reenter the game but it's using the mod's axe animation (i'm trying to chop wood in dappled groves), I've already saw if it's coming this mod or a older version of combat overhaul, and it's not
question, since to chop firewood and or use the workstations is needed the right click, and to chop tree is used this mod's animation with left click, ins't really a way to make both work?
yes it would be great to have in dappled groves compat so that we have animation for the pickaxe and wood cutting from this mod and animation for sawing and the rest from IDG.
i hope one day this will be compatible with in dappled groves animations
