For testers (for Vintage Story 1.21.0-rc.1, potentially outdated):
CaliTemp_1.0.0.zip
1-click install
WILL ONLY WORK WHEN CREATING A NEW WORLD.
Changes the starting climate of temperate from 6c-14c to 14c-19c. Default Temperate at default settings is ~47 degrees latitude while default warm is ~30 degrees. This will spawn you ~35 degrees latitude. To check, use the command '/wgen pos latitude' without quotes.
Similar to my other mod however you will have even shorter winters. Should last only 1-3 months.

Gregno24 Thats the thing... Even if you make the polar- equator distance half of the world size, the equators are always based on your world spawn latitude. Since you cant spawn at lat 0 ny default, your world always has a closer north pole and is non symetrical. On a limited size world it ends up with the very top of your map getting warmer again as it starts to get to a new equator. I don't really mind that it would replace temperate. I only want to be able to generate the world from the equator to fix the issue I explained earlier.
Screamer I can try but it would again just replace the "temperate" option. The mod only changes where you spawn when first creating a world so it's fine to disable it after creating a world. I will also say it would probably suck to play because of how hot it would be. If you wanted poles to be more realistic you just need to make "Polar-Equator distance" half of your world width/length, it wouldn't spawn you at 0 degrees though.
Do you think you can make a version that makes the "hot" climate spawn latitude around ~0? To allow us to make perfectly symetrical poles on our worlds
Oh I am on version 1.20.12
PatrickStar10 What version of the game are you on? I made the mod using .net 8 so it might only work on 1.21. When I was making the mod it wouldn't let me make it in .net 7 (1.20 and below) and I'm too lazy to try and figure out how, sorry. All the mod does is change two numbers using harmony so I can't imagine it conflicts with anything unless they also change the same numbers.
So I tried it when creating a new world but it threw an error
